Ann Martin, Nurse Practitioner (f)

Ann is specially trained and qualified to diagnose and treat some minor illnesses. You may see Ann for many problems instead of a doctor. Nurse Practitioners are qualified to prescribe medications the same as a GP.

Nurse Lydia Taylor (f)

Hi my name is Lydia and I have been at Kingsway Medical Centre since February 2016. I started my nurse training in 1999 at Northumbria University in Newcastle. After qualifying I worked in an emergency medical centre for 2 years and then went into practice nursing for a few years, before doing school health nursing including vaccination campaigns for children aged 3-15 years.  After taking a short break from nursing to have my own child I returned to nursing here at Kingsway in 2016.  My role as a Practice Nurse at Kingsway Medical Centre includes baby and childhood immunisations, cervical smears and contraception, travel health and immunisations. I also see patients for chronic disease management including asthma and COPD, hypertension and heart disease.  I do ear irrigation and see patients for wound care.  I am currently doing some training in diabetes management.

Nurse Donna Love (f)

Hi, my name is Donna Love and I have been working at Kingsway for the past 5 years as a Practice Nurse.  Prior to this, I worked as a Respiratory Nurse in secondary care after I qualified in 2009, leaving this post due to having children and wanting more family-friendly hours.  I enjoy being part of the team here at Kingsway, carrying out my duties, which include wound dressings, long term condition reviews, baby and travel immunisations, cervical screening, ECGs, spirometry, lung health checks and healthy heart reviews.
